The SBI test apparatus is a professional fire testing system used to determine the reaction to fire performance of building materials and construction products. The system simulates the thermal attack caused by a single burning item and evaluates the fire behavior of materials under controlled laboratory conditions. It is widely used by fire testing laboratories, certification organizations, research institutes, and building material manufacturers.
A test sample is installed on the trolley inside the test room. A 31 kW propane burner acts as the ignition source and exposes the sample to a controlled flame. During the test, combustion products pass through the exhaust duct where sensors and analyzers collect real-time data.
The final test data can be stored and exported for evaluation.
